VARIS ACADEMY: IT CAN BE DONE!
To provide adequate knowledge and skills, Varis established its own academy in 2021. Its purpose is to strengthen competences: education and training of current and potential new employees.
The academy is an important factor of Varis’s innovative “It can be done!” corporate culture and part of the ongoing development of people and the organisation. The participants enhance their competences through training and contribute to achieving the developmental potential and strategic goals of Varis.

THE OLD TEACH THE YOUNG AND VICE VERSA
Older workers are perhaps worried about how they will carry on with physically demanding work. At the Varis Academy, younger workers train their older colleagues for qualified work that is less strenuous, thus relieving them of arduous tasks while at the same time establishing an intergenerational link for the transfer of knowledge.
The Varis Academy enables older workers to transfer their knowledge faster, to relive them of physically demanding work thus reducing the likelihood of injury at work, and provides an option to extend their service.
